J’avais depuis un moment l’intention de remplacer le site web statique que j’avais créé quand j’ai lancé MyTrails par un CMS qui me permette de faire des mises à jour plus facilement.
Mes principales contraintes étaient les suivantes:
- thèmes par défaut plutôt jolis (la conception de sites web n’est pas mon fort)
- facile à ajuster
- prise en charge multilingue
J’avais déjà utilisé WordPress pour d’autres projets, et j’aime bien les thèmes par défaut et l’interface d’administration, c’était mon point de départ.
Puis j’ai installé qTranslate et j’ai essayé de traduire les pages principales en français, et les multiples petits bugs m’ont conduit à regarder Joomla et Drupal d’un œil neuf. Toutefois le support multilingue dans ceux-ci, même si c’est moins un hack de qTranslate, reste complexe, et dans l’ensemble ce sont des CMSes plus lourds, donc j’ai fini par revenir à WordPress et appliquer tweak après tweak et désactiver la plupart des plugins jusqu’à ce qTranslate fonctionne enfin.
Il est étonnant qu’en 2012, les principaux CMS continuent d’ignorer les exigences multilingues.
Quoi qu’il en soit, faites attention à la peinture fraîche, et dites-moi si quelque chose ne fonctionne pas…
